Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine originating from the Indian subcontinent. Now available in Australia and gaining popularity with the growing health-conscious market, Kashaya, by Ayur Co, is an ayurvedic health drink made up of 14 herbs, seeds and spices.

We were tasked with creating the identity website and packaging to reflect this product’s unique qualities. Just as importantly, it also needed an aesthetic that would stand out in a market saturated with competing health drinks.

The inspiration for this identity was drawn from India’s Holi, or “festival of colors”, which is celebrated annually to signify the changing of seasons and the triumph of good over evil. We experimented with combining various powdered pigments (gulal), selecting blue and green to package the first Kashaya blend, as blue is the colour of Lord Kṛṣṇa and green represents new beginnings.
